Sr Quality Assurance Engineer

Role Summary:
Responsible for testing a feature and or a small feature set. Contributes to the team and works with direction from Senior Team Members or management; increasing the ability to work independently.
Essential Responsibilities:
In this role you will:
+ Break down problems and estimates time for quality related tasks
+ Demonstrate increasing expertise in application domain and functional areas
+ Apply various testing types and methodologies effectively during SDLC
+ Take ownership of tasks and deliver without supervision while using their discretion to seek help when necessary
+ Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Agile, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
+ Work independently and delivers testing and use case creation which meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
+ Write effective tests according to best practices so that crucial functional requirements are verified and tests remain valid when code is refactored
+ Collaborate with development team in bugs fixing and build plans
+ Collaborate with Quality Leaders in creating test plans
+ Implement and configures testing tools and helps other staff
+ Implement system-level integration testing
+ Be skilled in core data structures and algorithms
+ Define quality metrics, best practices and coding patterns, and provides deep expertise on the coding
+ Create new and maintain existing automated tests to improve test coverage and allow
+ Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or in ?STEM? Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
+ Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in software testing and/or software engineering
+ Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job Desired Characteristics:
+ Experience in test automation
+ Experience with manual testing using a structured test plan
+ Ability to write .NET, JavaScript, and T-SQL code for the purposes of testing solution code (e.g., white-box testing) and configuring software solutions for testing.
+ Experience testing web services (SOAP/REST; Throughput, Performance under Load, etc.)
+ Experience with issue-tracking and agile project management systems such as JIRA, Confluence, Rally, etc.
+ Experience working in Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
+ Experience working with virtual machines (VMs) as part of a test/integration infrastructure
+ Has the ability to make basic technology choices based on experience
+ Demonstrates awareness about competitors and industry
+ Strong oral and written communication skills.
+ Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly personality.
+ Effective team building and problem-solving abilities.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
